New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services (NHDES) Announces EVSE Rebates

The New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services (NHDES) and the Granite State Clean Cities Coalition have started offering rebates in an effort to promote the installation of electric vehicle charging stations in New Hampshire.

The rebate program was initiated to encourage the installation of electric vehicle supply equipment (EVSE) along Interstate 93 south of Interstate 89.

Now through April 3rd, rebates of up to $12,000 are available for Level 3 electric vehicle charging stations or “DC Fast Chargers.” Rebates of up to $5,000 will be offered for the installation of Level 2 charging equipment such as the L2 PowerPost™ EV Charger thereafter.

The U.S. Department of Energy has allocated a total of $49,000 for EV charging infrastructure projects through 2016. Businesses interested in participating are required to file a pre-approval application prior to submitting a final rebate request form by April 3, 2015. Additional information can be found at www.des.nh.gov under “What’s New.”
