Telefonix®, Inc. to participate in Workplace Charging for Electric Vehicles at Baxter Global Headquarters in Deerfield, Illinois

 

Waukegan, Illinois (October 20, 2014) Telefonix®, Inc., a leading developer of cord reel technology and manufacturer of custom electronics, will display the company’s line of PowerPost® commercial electric vehicle (EV) charging stations at the event “Workplace Charging for Electric Vehicles” to be held on October 22, 2014 at Baxter’s global headquarters in Deerfield, Illinois. The PowerPost EVSE product line features the robust, patented Telefonix retractable cord reel incorporated in low-current EV charging stations that are ideal for workplace charging.

 

The event is co-hosted by the U.S. Department of Energy’s Workplace Charging Challenge, Office of Illinois Governor Pat Quinn, Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity, City of Chicago Sustainability Office, Chicago Department of Transportation and the Environmental Law and Policy Center. Baxter is providing lunch and a meeting place for the day. The program includes an introduction to EVs and EV charging, an overview of available resources, including rebates, a panel of Illinois employers that have installed and offer EV charging, the chance to meet manufacturers and installers of EV charging stations and the opportunity to test drive an electric vehicle. The Telefonix display will showcase the company’s commercial Level 1 and Level 2 PowerPost EV charging stations and members of the team will be on hand to discuss cost and energy advantages of low-current workplace charging.
