Waukegan, Illinois (March 17, 2016) Telefonix® Inc., manufacturer of PowerPost® commercial electric vehicle charging stations (EVSEs), announced the installation of an L2 PowerPost™ EV charger at The Wildlands Conservancy's (TWC) Oak Glen Preserve in Oak Glen, California.
This is the first installation of a PowerPost EVSE at a nature preserve, where low-current electric vehicle charging is ideal as the time spent doing outdoor activities at nature preserves is often two or more hours, the time it takes to recover a charge from an average commute.
“Electric Vehicles and TWC have the same overall goal- to preserve the earth for future generations,” said Bill Williams, Business Development Manager for Telefonix, EVSE Division. “A large portion of EV enthusiasts enjoy hiking, camping and other outdoor activities, so this installation makes perfect sense.”
The Wildlands Conservancy is the largest nonprofit nature preserve system in California, comprised of fifteen preserves over 147,000 acres. These nature

preserves are open to the public and free of charge. The low cost of PowerPost EVSE Charging Station ownership allows TWC to maintain their free of charge ethos, which now extends to a free commute recovery charge for electric vehicle drivers.
The Wildlands Conservancy is dedicated to preserving the beauty and biodiversity of the earth and providing educational programs so that children will know and enjoy the wonder and joy of nature.
The Telefonix PowerPost electric vehicle charging station product line is focused on low-current solutions for commercial parking lots or garages where cars are parked for two or more hours. The L1 PowerPost EVSE led the way as the first commercial Level 1 EV charging station, and the L2 PowerPost EVSE is making an impact on the Level 2 product category as the first low-current, commercial Level 2 EV charging station. The company has now introduced a wall-mounted version of the level 1 and level 2 PowerPost EV charging stations. All PowerPost chargers provide an economical charging solution that also features a retractable cord reel that eliminates the clutter and potential hazards of long cables as well as offering the potential for custom branding. Telefonix is delivering on electric vehicle charging innovations with a cost of ownership that creates a win-win for both the EV driver and the parking facility.
